Our Postal address is:
The Signals Museum
RAF Henlow is in Bedfordshire and is located about 6 miles north of Hitchin on the A600 Bedford Road and has easy access from the A1 and the M1 roads. Nearest railway stations are Hitchin or Arlesey.
This map shows the area. The museum is the building to the south south west of the long car park.
The Post Code for Sat. Navs. is SG16 6DN. If coming via the A1 come off at junction 10 near Baldock, (end of motorway section) and turn towards Shefford along the A507. Follow this road until you have gone over the railway bridge after about 3 miles, and at the next roundabout (Junction A507/B659), after about 3/4 mile, turn left. This will bring you past the airfield on your right and into the built up area and as you wait at the traffic lights, you will see a sign which says “R.A.F. Henlow All Visitors”. Park there, cross to the guardroom to get a pass then back to your car and enter through the barrier in the corner of the car park. The museum is the first building inside the gate on the left with a Type ACR7 Radar Scanner in front. Just park opposite and come in.
Visitors who may want a meal in the area will find a warm welcome at The Five Bells in Henlow village
We have now been set a closure date by the authorities at RAF Henlow. This will be by the end of June 2024 but we will close for visitors after the May 2024 Open Day, and start to dispose of our exhibits.
Please go to the Museum Closure page for more information.
