Transmitter Type T1509

The T1509 is an R.A.F. ground transmitter dating from about 1947. It was used for point-to-point communication.
AC mains powered; remotely controlled; AM/CW/RTTY; it provided up to 350 watts output on frequencies between 1.5 and 20 Mc/s.
The Power Amplifier (PA) uses 2 x 813 valves - they are anode and screen modulated by another pair. The associated remote control unit is the CU310.
