Transceiver Type TR5043

The Type 77 transmitter, introduced in 1936, was used in combination with the R1084 receiver for
ground-to-point communication using W/T and R/T transmissions, both by Commands and the by Air Ministry.

The Transmitter used 4 Triode valves, as: Master Oscillator (MO) and Power Amplifier (PA), and Sub-Modulator and Modulator (for speech).

When the Transmitter was used for W/T (Morse), the Master Oscillator was operated continuously, to
maintain frequency stability, with only the PA valve being keyed.
