Transmitter SWB-8E

The Marconi SWB8 H.F. transmitter was originally produced in the late 1930s as a shipboard transmitter, having an all-brass carcass
construction for corrosion prevention. The Frequency range was 3 to 22.2Mc/s, and the Power output could be as much as 3.5kW.
The power supply cabinet was about one and a half times larger than the transmitter! Different types of 'SWAB8' were used, for:
CW only; CW and FSK; CW and SSB; CW and AM.
